Sidewalk Sale

This Saturday, April 17 Second Hand Chic will be having a Sidewalk Sale! Bargains galore will be out front for your perusal....we'll have all of our remaining winter apparel and shoes for $5 a piece, a one dollar table, a five dollar table and tons of other screamin' deals. Prices so low it may shock you.

And since Abode is having their Flea Market on Saturday also, Sugar House will be the fun shopping destination of the day! Ooh La La!

On another note, Friday April 16 we will be open late for the Gallery Stroll. The Salt Lake Gallery Stroll is a free event held every third Friday evening of the month. It's a self-guided tour of the art galleries in the area. For more info on the Stroll, click on the link. We carry a large selection of original art so while you are strolling the galleries be sure to stop in.

A Thing for Roses

On Saturday I went to an estate sale and found this beautiful painting. It seems everything in this home had a rose theme. Apparently the woman had a thing for roses. The painting is lovely but the frame needed a little updating....
I painted it a creamy shade of ivory, distressed it a little and brushed on some some glaze. What do you think?

Curbside Find

It's Springtime in Utah! Time to haul all of your unwanted crap out to the curb for the purpose of pleasing the pickers who enjoy rummaging through your discards. I'm not ashamed to admit, I've found some of my most treasured possessions at the side of the road. Just check out my latest acquisition.

Fundraiser Yard Sale!

This weekend, if you find yourself in the Taylorsville area, be sure to stop by an event to benefit Camille Call Garcia. Camille is a 31 year old mother of 2 small boys and she suffers from Seizure Disorder.

The event will be held from 8 to 3 tomorrow, Saturday April 10 and will include a yard sale, boutique, bake sale and silent auction. The location is 1556 West Allegheny (6420 South) in Taylorsville.

The event is being sponsored by Abode. And speaking of Abode next weekend is the Outdoor Flea Market! The parking lot will be packed with vendors offering the finest in vintage goodness.

So check out the big Yard Sale Fundraiser in Taylorsville this weekend and next weekend the Flea Market at Abode. And of course, after the Flea Market, head up the street to Second Hand Chic.
