Candy Cane Holiday Store

The Candy Cane Corner holiday store provides residents of the YWCA Salt Lake City, The Road Home and Volunteers of America, Utah, the opportunity to shop for new toys and necessities
for their families during the holiday season.

How You Can Help:

Volunteer:

Set up the store, receive donations, restock shelves, gift wrap...

We are currently in need of daytime volunteers at the Candy Cane Corner holiday store.

Volunteer and Store Hours

Monday – Friday: 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday – Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The first day for residents to shop will be Wednesday, December 1, 2010 or shortly thereafter.

Volunteer groups must be no larger than 10 individuals

Youth volunteers ages 13-17 must be accompanied by adults

(One adult per three youth)

If you are unable to assist in the holiday store, please consider conducting a
neighborhood drive for items on the wish list.

Turquoise Love

The Home Depot had a can of "oops" in turquoise. I can't resist a can of "oops" paint especially in this fab shade! I spent the weekend painting everything turquoise.

Look What I Found!

Last weekend my two gal pals Liz & Lisa told me about an estate sale in their neighborhood. "But don't bother" they said, "there's nothing good left".

I didn't listen.

I just realized there is a boxes and other square things theme here. With the exception of this final fabulous find. An old set of cobbler's shoe forms.

One of these things is not like the others.

Sometimes it pays not to listen to others.

Feed the Birds

It certainly has been a cold and snowy winter here in Salt Lake City. Don't forget to put lots of seeds out for the little birds in your yard.
