Welcome to the Vintage Valentine Blog Party hosted by Joan at
Anything Goes. I started collecting Vintage Valentines 15 years ago when I spotted this little gem for $5 in a Santa Barbara Antiques store. I was hooked! I realized then that Vintage Valentines make the perfect collectable because they are so affordable and don't take up much space and gosh, they are just so darn cute. Since then, I have amassed quite an impressive collection. Here is just a sampling.....
This one appeals to me because it reminds me of the style of Valentine we used to exchange when I was in elementary school in the sixties.
A word of warning: the following Valentine is a bit "naughty" so you might want to have your children leave the room, teehee.
Pretty bawdy, eh? It was a simpler time for sure.
If you'd like to see more Vintage Valentines be sure to link up to Anything Goes or click on the Vintage Valentine button on my sidebar. Happy Valentines Day!
Love, kelly

ReplyDeleteThe last naughty one made me laugh out loud. I was trying to figure out what it was going to say while scrolling down... but I couldn't guess!
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in another of my vintage parties. Next time I am going to figure out how to use Mc Linky! xo Joan, your hostess
Hey, someone else who has a naughty side. I thought I was alone in the world.
ReplyDeleteOooh la la! Naughty card, but adorable! Thanks for the sweet post, and I loved checking out the Valentines on the other blogs you listed! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThis post has certainly generated many a comment. I'm not sure if it's the kitty cat or the pretty heart on the last valentine. Possibly it has to do with the love we all feel for the love we have in loving to express our love.
ReplyDeletelove to love you babe
PS I fondly recall that wonderful collage our sister Kitty had (as a tween) that was made of antique valentine cards. It, sadly, was "lost" in one of our moves.
Kelly, I just came across your blog while checking out Joans favorite Valentine cards from her awesome Valentine party. I too love vintage Valentines and other holiday cards. I love your collection and hope you will continue to show some. Love your business and wish I could visit it in person.
