Round Top Round Up

Here are the first of my photos from Round Top. I'll be posting more throughout the week (since I took close to 200!). Words can't describe the size and scope of this Field of Dreams!

Here I am with my junkin' buddy, Tamarah of Shabby Vintage Junk. Tamarah lives in Australia and we met a few months ago through our blogs. She spends her weekends sorting through the Hard Rubbish in search of the perfect junk. We had a grand time schlepping through the fields of Warrenton, sharing junking adventures. Tamarah has a great eye so be sure you check out her blog.
There is nothing more beautiful than a stack of folded quilts.
Bakelight jewelry. So yummy.
Does this chicken make me look fat?

There was tons of fabulous vintage patio furniture at reasonable prices. It made me wish I had a truck!

The people watching at Round Top is the best. As Mike, from "American Pickers" puts it, junkers are truly a breed apart.

This green cupboard was only $275!

Poopsie found lots of mantiques.

That's all for now, folks. Tune in tomorrow for round two of my Round Top Round Up.

Love, Kelly

  2. Good Morning Kelly Sweetie...
Oh my gosh what a wonderful time I had this morning shopping through the pages with you. Oh I would have broke the bank at this place.

I remember a Disney bus lunch box like the one shown. I loved the mirrors, the door, oha nd the ironwork items were the best. LOVE it.

That royal crown cola add was a blast from the past. I haven't thought about RC in ages. I remember collecting the bottle caps, long past thrown away with the other treasures of a child.

Loved the sewing machine. I had a little sewing machine as a child. I made doll clothes from Moma's cloth scraps. What fun those days were.

I actually have one of those Big Boy dolls. He's in the attic somewhere.

A beautiful share sweetie. I felt like I was right there walking with you. Many hugs and SO much love, Sherry

  3. You know you have to be just a little bit (well maybe a lot) to live in Texas especially in the summertime. Girl, I'm here to tell ya...all three of you qualify as Texans! Great meeting you and hope you come back in the spring.

  4. I am so covetous, envious and jealous and sooo glad you took such fun photos so I don't feel left out of the Round Top excitement....I can just imagine the miles and miles of vendors, dealers and assorted experts on all my favorite kind of kitsch! Did you come across any cool kitchenalia booths perchance? Love ya!
